Kibitzer's Corner
Apr-07-09  SniperOnG7: Grischuk got clobbered in this one. Well played by Belov - the plan of 33. d6, Rc7, RxNf7 was a simple yet very effective exchange sacrifice that won all of Grischuk's central pawns.

In the resulting position, white's pawn roller, supported by his centralized pieces, was just too strong. Black's rooks proved to be utterly useless.

Apr-19-09  chessmani: Incredible game by belov

Mar-28-10  whiteshark: <35.Re7!> says indirectly that it's an illusion that ♙d6 is hanging...

<35... Nxd6? 36.Qg2> (that what open files are for; one threat is Qg5#) <...Qxe7 37.Qxg6#> (that's the other one).

Mar-28-10  vonKrolock: <whiteshark> - interesting line... let see ... And if ♕d6 ♕d6 ♘d6 ♖e6 ♘f7 ▢ ♖eg6 ♔h7 ♖g7 check ♔h8 ♗e5! ♘e5 (otherwise a discovered check) ♖g5 ♖f7 ♖h5 check ♖h7 ♖ take ♘ and white is better (well, this is what i would play in a blind game, but maybe there's something better in this variation...) !?
Mar-28-10  whiteshark: <vonKrolock> There is still some work to do at the end of your line... I thought that after <35.Re7! Qxd6 36.Qxd6 Nxd6 <37.Bxe5>> the black position is about to collapse.

(Threats are Bxd6, Bg7+ or Bf4+)

Mar-29-10  vonKrolock: <whiteshark> ok, ♘e8 hold but then white is better with ♖e6 ♖g8 ♗xf4 etc or even taking the `b`♙ for a start

< There is still some work to do at the end of your line... > After 35.♖e7 ♕xd6 36.♕xd6 ♘xd6 37.♖e6 ♘f7 38.♖exg6+ ♔h7 39.♖g7+ ♔h8 analysis diagram

Apr-05-10  Belov Vladimir: ofcourse i have winning moves on 30+ moves, but I was in time trouble in that moment, and don't have Rybka near me...
