Jan-20-10  OlavDalkeith: not getting this. :-(
Jan-20-10  HSOL: I think 32.Rxd7 Rxa6 and the threat of Ra1 mating wins the knight on a8 and any move but Rxd7 loses the queen.
Jan-20-10  OlavDalkeith: oh, yes. Due to the mate threat white has to move his rook back to d1 but then the knight on a8 goes missing. Black's knight sits on a very nice quare (protecting d8), white's knight does not.
Jan-20-10  Alphastar: Sick final move.
Jan-20-10  ycbaywtb: very cool move, black Knight holds weak back rank, and white must lose his Q and N for the Q due to his weak back rank

i hate when i don't have luft!!!

Jan-20-10  ycbaywtb: i think if the White Q goes back to e2, Black can play Qa7 and his Knight is falling, so he will be down a piece
Jan-20-10  ycbaywtb: how many of us know that "a knight on the rim is dim" but can find the final move played in this game???

i mean really? i agree with Alphastar: <<Sick final move.>>
