Kibitzer's Corner
Jan-18-19  Retireborn: Unlucky Nikolic misses two clear chances to land a knockout blow;

(1) the elegant 33...Rxd2+ 34.Qxd2 Qxa1+ 35.Qc1 Rb1 36.a8Q Rxc1+ 37.Ke2 Rc2+ and mate on g3 follows shortly.

(2) the finesse 57...Qc3+! (57...Qc4+ does not work after 58.Qxc4+ dxc4 59.a4!) 58.Ka4 Qc4+ 59.Qxc4+ dxc4 60.Kb4 c5+!

After 59.a4 the game soon ends in perpetual check. Possibly 59...Kc2 exposes the king too much, but I have not found a clear winning plan for Black, despite his extra pawns, as the white king is well placed to support his a-pawn.

As ever, would welcome opinion from stronger players/engines though.
