Jul-19-09  zluria: The combination starting with 21. ... Rxc6! is definitely insane!
Jul-19-09  whiteshark: <zluria> If you have meant <The combination starting with <21.Rxc6!> is definitely insane!>

and I'd agree with you. :D

Jul-19-09  kurtrichards: The board was again setted on fire.
Jul-19-09  hedgeh0g: And I agree too! :D
Jul-19-09  luzhin: The conclusion would be 28...Qc6 29.Rxc6+ bxc6 30.Ba6++ -- amusing that the very first move of the KB would be to deliver checkmate.

  JointheArmy: Brilliant attack by Shirov.
Jul-21-09  theagenbiteofinwit: I would hesitate to brave 1..e6 in a game against Shirov. He knows the French very well.
Jul-22-09  znsprdx: 24...e4xf5?? why not e5. Is there still a forced win?-
Jul-24-09  Dr. Funkenstein: that was nice of Shirov to create another Saturday/Sunday puzzle for CG.com to use in the future
Nov-08-09  I Like Fish: freakin awesome...

Nov-23-09  Plato: <theagenbiteofinwit: I would hesitate to brave 1..e6 in a game against Shirov. He knows the French very well.>

I would hesitate to brave the poisoned pawn Winawer against ANY strong GM, but kudos to Ganguly for having the courage to play it.

Nov-23-09  sheaf: < <zluria> If you have meant <The combination starting with <21.Rxc6!> is definitely insane!>

and I'd agree with you. :D> If you both have meant <22.Rxc6> then I'd also agree with you.
