Oct-08-10  MUSICCHESS: stupid jako , it was mate on 10th move
Oct-08-10  Whitehat1963: Mate on the 10th move? Where? Please show us mere mortals.
Oct-08-10  centrumspits: Mate on the 10th is impossible to my opinion, but what is wrong with 11. Qxg6#?

Probably a wrong game score!

Oct-08-10  MUSICCHESS: sorry , my mistake its a mate on 11.11. Qxg6#........

  FSR: The game score is completely screwed up - not an unusual occurrence in a blitz game. Surely Leko did not play 8...a6??, nor did he allow White to mate on move 11, nor did White (a world-class GM) disdain that opportunity. Note that in literally <every> other game in the database in this line (212 of them), Black played 8...Bxd3 rather than 8...a6?? Opening Explorer My best guess is that the game in fact went 1.e4 c6 2.d4 d5 3.Nc3 dxe4 4.Nxe4 Bf5 5.Ng3 Bg6 6.h4 h6 7.Nf3 Nd7 8.Bd3 Bxd3 9.Qxd3 Ngf6 10.Bf4 Qa5+ 11.Bd2 Qc7 12.O-O-O e6 13.Ne4 O-O-O 14.g3 Nxe4 15.Qxe4 Bd6 16.c4 c5 17.Bc3 Nf6 18.Qe2 cxd4 18.Nxd4 <and now> a6 19.Kb1 <so far as in Matulovic vs Saidy, 1969, except that that game went 10.Bd2 Qc7 rather than 10.Bf4 Qa5+ 11.Bd2 Qc7> Kb8 (deviating from Matulovic-Saidy) 20.Rc1 Rd7 21.Nb3 Qc6 22.Rhe1 Bc7 23.g4 Bf4 24.Rc2 Ka8 25.Nd4 Qb6 and now I don't know what happened.
