Kibitzer's Corner
Sep-21-10  twinlark: When is a clever sacrifice a blunder? When it's an oversight and you have no idea it's a good move.

Black's 27...Qd6 sacs/loses his pawn at h6, which White obligingly captures:

Black's 28...Nd4? indicates that maybe he didn't have a clue that he'd just played a clever move, as the Knight sac 28...Nxd3! gives him a really nice game:

1. 29. exd3 Qxd3+ 30. Re2 (30. Ke1 Qd1#; 30. Kg1 Qd1+ 31. Bf1 Qxf3 ) 30...Nd4 31. Qd2 Nxe2 32. Qxd3 Nxg3+ 33. hxg3 Rxd3 (threatening mate) 34. Nd2 (forced) Kg7:

Black's probably winning.

If after 28...Nxd3, White best chance might be the rook pin with 29. Rd2, in which case 29...Qb4! looks good.

To be fair to Black, he is an unrated teenager. Makes you wonder why White played such an obscure opening.
