Oct-03-10  percyblakeney: Entertaining game where Radjabov sacrificed the exchange and a couple of pawns already before the 15th move, and Motylev probably missed a draw somewhere in time trouble.
May-24-11  hedgeh0g: I don't think this game has received the credit it deserves as a textbook example of rapid development and how to exploit an initiative.

An Englishman: Good Evening: Stem game for the entire two-pawns-plus-the-Exchange sacrifice line. 7 games in the DB: 4 with 16.Bxd4, 2 with 16.Kg2, and only this game with 16.Kh1. The other six games ended drawn including one where our own <FSR> salvaged the half point by sending his King all the way to h6! F Rhine vs S Renard, 2024
Mar-27-25  newzild: This is a very impressive tactical battle with lots of imagination from both players.

White is two pawns up but his problems are legion. His B is en prise and so are his pawns on d3, d5 and b2. To add to that, his R is pinned whilst Black's eyes a mate on e1.

Amazingly, Stockfish says White can not only survive this but come out of it roughly equal. <25.Bxe5?> wasn't the way to do that.

there are 6 other games in the database, all drawn, in which White plays either 16. Bxd4 or 16. Kg2.

Here Crafty actually recommends the game moves

16. Kh1 Qh3 17. Rg1 Nf3 18. Rg2 g5

but then diverges with

19. c3 gxf4 20. Qa4 Rd8 21. Bxa7 Nh4 22. Qe4 Nxg2 23. Qxg2 Qxg2+ 24. Kxg2 b6 25. Re1 Kb7 26. Bxb6 cxb6 27. c4 Rg8+ 28. Kf3

and says White is now +0.28.
