Mar-15-11  gazzawhite: According to tablebases, Ivanchuk had a win after white's 85th move. However, black needed to play 85...Qc4 or 85...Qg3+. After 85...Ke5 until the end, it was a draw.

Penguincw: Well, white can always built a fortress.Even if the pawn falls, white could still built a fortress.

There is no fortress where a rook will hold against a queen if there are no other pieces on the board besides kings. Some positions are trickier than others to convert, but the queen will always break through in the end (objectively).

Mar-16-11  jaguarz: nice aronian
Mar-16-11  kevin86: This one looks like an easy win for black-but even over the board this is a tough nut to crack. If you cannot see the pieces,it just makes it even harder.

Except maybe the 50 move rule could draw the game.

Penguincw: I can't believe they actually played this blindfold. I expect maybe rapid. At some point, someone could've forgotten very easily.
