Aug-23-12  rapidcitychess: Heh... This is a pretty fail game.

As entertaining as it is, I think this should be removed.

Aug-23-12  DanielBryant: I can't make sense of what the actual game continuation might have been instead of the error.
Aug-23-12  TheFocus: This game should be in Hilbert's book on James Leonard.
Aug-24-12  Calli: The moves should be 25...Kg7 26.Qb4 Rge8 27.Re7 a5 28.Qa3 Qb5 29.f6+ Kxf6 30.c4 1-0

Aug-24-12  TheFocus: Good work, <Calli>!

Please submit a correction.

Aug-24-12  rapidcitychess: I posted it on the CG forum, because I do not know the protocol.
Aug-24-12  Calli: <Focus> Correction was submitted yesterday (8/23) and game score is now good. Quick action by the librarian!
Aug-24-12  sambo: Why does white not play 11. d5, pinning the knight?
Aug-24-12  sneaky pete: <sambo> If 11.d5 Nc5 unpins.

Phony Benoni: <rapidcitychess> Below the comment box and posting guidelines area, there is the line:

<Spot an error? Please submit a correction slip and help us eliminate database mistakes!>

<CG Librarian> is tasked with making these corrections. While there is still some old backlog, most corrections are now being handled fairly quickly.

It does help to cite proof your suggestion is correct; for example, note how <Calli> provided a link to a contemporary source. ("1960" was a typo for "1860").

Aug-25-12  Calli: <("1960" was a typo for "1860")>

Oh worse than that, it was a typo for 1861!
