Jan-19-22  Z truth 000000001: ACB v14 N6 (Jul-Aug 1917) p154-5 has a bit of a backstory about this game:

<Handicapped by newspaper work, Helms was not placed in the state tournament at Buffalo in 1894, but defeated the late Eugene Delmar in a sensational game. Having overslept, Helms came to the tournament rooms and found his clock running, with but twelve minutes to go. At that time a slow player, he had his first taste of rapid transit play and, when the hour was up, he had the betier position, which he improved to a point where he forced Delmar's resignation.>
