Yes, 19...e5 was a bad move. That f-pawn was the backbone of Black's position and just the thought of losing it would be enough to make anyone resign.

Seriously, I would bet we have a typo in the game score, and the game actually continued 19...Qxc5 20.Rd7. That looks sensible, if not resignable for Black.

However, after 19...e5 20.Rd7 is impossible. What computers usually do when they come up against an impossible move is just skip the rest of the game score and go straight to the result. You can find dozens, if not hundreds of games where this has obviously happened.

This may sound far-fetched, but it's far more likely than a 2422 player committing 19...e5. At least I think so, since I obviously have no idea how a 2422 player's mind works.
