Kibitzer's Corner
Oct-06-11  Whitehat1963: Excellent Wednesday/Thursday puzzle after 23. Nxd5.
Jun-13-15  Ellih: Agreed; an entertaining game - I missed the sacrifice option. I was impressed with the evolution of black's queen side pawn structure around the fifteenth move. This valuable lead up work provides the space that black's queen later uses to reach white's back rank, springing a deadly attack.
Jun-13-15  11thHeaven: Does 18...Bxa3 work? 19.bxa3 Rxh2+ 20.Kxh2 Qf2+ 21.Kh1 Ra2? Can white escape with 21.Kh3?
Sep-10-21  Honey Blend: Resigning here was a bit premature. After 27. ♘xe7 ♔xe7 28. ♗g5+ f6 29. ♖xe1 fxg5 30. ♔g4 the tripled pawns become a liability. White has a fair chance to draw this.

Instead, 24. ... ♖c2+ is a necessity. After 25. ♗d2 this is the right time to play 25. ... ♖h2+ 26. ♔xh2 ♘xf3+ 27. ♔h3 ♘xe1, and the situation is different because both White pieces are under attack. If 28. ♗xe1 exd5, or if 28. ♘xe7 ♖xd2 29. ♖xe1 ♔xe7 and Black has a lot of advantage with the Rook already in the seventh rank.
