Dec-09-11  TrollKing: The Black Queen is lost.

If 32 ... Kg8 then
33 Rh8+

  Penguincw: 31...♔h8 ?
Dec-09-11  karnak64: One wonders what the situation was on the clock -- did that lead to black overlooking the obvious?

tamar: Maybe. Sachdev had 4 minutes left, Huebner 6 1/2 minutes

But Black doesn't have any real hopes anyway.

Dec-11-11  karnak64: Yeah, but ... Kh8 is a bit like Obi-wan putting up his light saber ...
Dec-12-11  rilkefan: I take it Black needed to play 9...d5 instead of ...h6?

Domdaniel: <rilkefan> Yes, though it might be better to play ...d5 earlier, before White played c4. 5...d5 is good, or 5...cxd4 and then ...d5. It'll probably lead to a Catalan or Tarrasch.

I play this kind of stuff a lot as White, but never manage to keep Black under the cosh as Huebner does here.

Dec-14-11  Ulhumbrus: The moves 8...a6?! and 9...h6?! both spend a tempo upon moving a pawn in the opening.
