Kibitzer's Corner
Sep-07-12  whiteshark: Position after <37.Kxh3>:

"An unusual position, without any minor pieces. The White King is a bit exposed, but he seems to be quite safe: if now <37...Rh5-ch 38.Kg2 Qh4 39.Rg1! Rf4!? 40.Kf1!> and White has no reason to complain.

BUT, heavy-piece middle game positions (ie, only Queens and Rooks) are known for their wicked scorpion sting.

BLACK TO PLAY AND WIN!"

Jun-23-14  Rookiepawn: 37 ... Re3

I think this forces material gain? Otherwise

38. Rxe3 Rh5+
39. Kg2 Qh2+
40. Kf3 Qh3+
41. Kf4 Rf5++

Or 41. Ke4 Qg4 ++

I'm calculating all this mentally, but pretty sure the WK has no way out... Now playing this OTB is another story...
