Kibitzer's Corner
Jan-28-16  mcb: I think this is a brilliant attack in the Giuoco Piano. White's Rook move calling check on the eighth rank, instead of putting pressure on the pinned Rook with it on the 7th rank, was sheer genius. It opened the road to the kill stroke on the central file. I do not understand why players let that knight get eaten for free when they could at least kill a pawn and open the kingside with it. Why let the guy castle?
