Mar-04-13  satrancsever: is this real?
Mar-04-13  King Radio: Yes, it was a rapid game, but it really happened. It was part of a rapid/ blindfold event, I believe.

Nope.

Carlsen vs Radjabov, 2014

May-09-14  PhilFeeley: What's wrong with 31...hxg5?
May-09-14  Nerwal: <What's wrong with 31...hxg5?>

31... hxg5 32. ♕xb7 Δ ♗c4, ♖h1 with a dangerous attack.

May-09-14  tonsillolith: <How did I not hear about this game?>

The liberal media.

May-09-14  PhilFeeley: <Nerwal> I thought about that line. Have you played it out? The queen doesn't necessarily get trapped. Black can harass the white queen though.
May-09-14  psmith: <PhilFeeley> What's wrong with 31...hxg5 is that 31....Qxg5 is better.
Nov-18-17  kontoleon: Until today is +11 -1 =5.
but is women still have some changeto win best human player!
Jul-05-18  Caissa04: And Hou Yifan still without a win against Carlsen.
Oct-30-20  0ZeR0: The definitive mistake in this game seems to be 28.f3. Until this point, white is doing quite well. The position is very complex, especially for a rapid game.

28.a4 seems to be a logical alternative as it shuts down all of black's plans on the queenside. Also possible is 28.Nxf6 Bxf6 and only now 29.f3. Alternatively, 28.Nxf4 exf4 29.Bd4 Nd7 30.Qc3 also works.

28.Be2 is also fine: 28...Qf7 29.Nxf6 Bxf6 30.a4 as is 28.Rc1 (preparing f3) 28...g4 (stopping f3) 29.a4.

Jul-03-22  ConvectiveCore: Just to clarify, this was in the finals of a rapid & blindfold tournament, in which the players first play a rapid game and then play a blindfold game. Judit won the rapid, Magnus won the blindfold, and then Magnus won the blitz tiebreaker.
