Apr-28-13  Ulhumbrus: Perhaps Topalov will try 35 a4
Apr-28-13  DcGentle: <Ulhumbrus>: Yes, and there is this psychological effect, that the winning part may think that they have achieved something and the attention is being neglected... and gone with the wind is victory.
Apr-28-13  DcGentle: I think a perpetual may end this game. A draw is likely.
Apr-28-13  Marmot PFL: Would like to see both sides promote, but I'm expecting some sort of perpetual check.
Apr-28-13  watwinc: I was looking at 34 ... Ne4 - I really must try and grow out of these one-move tactical shots.
Apr-28-13  DcGentle: <<avidfan>: Why 32...Qxh5 when that pawn ws already Black's ?>

Black wanted to create a passed pawn.

Apr-28-13  avidfan: Thanks <sebachess>. The Black queen on h1 (pinned) disabled the bishop! Good move by Black!
Apr-28-13  sebachess: Ne4 and Nd2 threat it's coming
Apr-28-13  watwinc: <sebachess> Ne4 and White just plays the queen to the d file, covering Nd2+
Apr-28-13  Ulhumbrus: 36 Qf4 threatens both Qg5+ and Qh6+ as well preparing a4 and Ka2
Apr-28-13  avidfan: Can the Black king hide from perpetual check?
Apr-28-13  Marmot PFL: Moro threw away a big advantage. How can black not play Rf6?

Apr-28-13  Ulhumbrus: If Topalov thinks that he has the option of perpetual check he may want to delay taking it as long as he can play for a win
Apr-28-13  sebachess: there are not perpetual check..
Apr-28-13  Ulhumbrus: One way for Black to lose is 38...h2 39 a6 Qg2 40 a7 h1/Q 41 a8/Q Nd2+ 42 Ka2 Qxc1 43 Qe5+ Kh7 44 Qh8+ Kg6 45 Qg7 mate
Apr-28-13  DcGentle: According to Houdini 38... Qe1 was a mistake, because White can play 39. c4 creating a hole for his king.
Apr-28-13  Marmot PFL: Should switch to Naka-Moro game, excitement amidst the blunders
Apr-28-13  sebachess: and now there are perpetual..
Apr-28-13  russsshurig: Tops' defensive genius, again.
Apr-28-13  Ulhumbrus: White seems to have a draw by perpetual check. On 45...Kf8 46 Qg5-d8+ forces the black king back on to the g file
Apr-28-13  Ulhumbrus: <russsshurig: Tops' defensive genius, again.> 35 Qc7!! was a brilliant resource
Apr-28-13  ikipemiko: Topalov shows great endgame and defensive play lately. Kudos to him - these were somehow "weak" points in his play. Can he return back to top 3 and be again challenger for the crown? Always a pleasure to watch.
Apr-28-13  avidfan: I would have loved to see the game play after 32...b7-b5 .
Apr-28-13  goggi: Nakamura-Morozevich 1-0

AylerKupp: <avidfan> I thought so too. But I had Critter 1.6a analyze the position after 22...b5 and at d=26 it evaluated it at [0.00] after either 33.b3, 33.Qc7, or 33.Qb6. So perhaps a draw was the appropriate result.
