Jun-24-13  luzhin: The trouble is that the obvious 41.Re3 loses to 41...Ng1 42.Rxe1 Nxf3+
Jun-24-13  Edmontonchessclub: Very unusual opening. I think the novelty was 5.d5. Very early.

Check It Out: Due to some white rook moves (28.Rb1 29.Rf1) Short gets a couple tempos in the middle game to get his kingside pawn-storm rolling, which crashes through white's position for the win.
Jun-28-13  rogl: <luzhin: The trouble is that the obvious 41.Re3 loses to 41...Ng1 42.Rxe1 Nxf3+> I don't think 41...Ng1 is the move since white can play 42.Nxd6! with a forking threat of his own. 41...Nd4 on the other hand seems to do the trick since now the bishop on f5 is protected.
Jul-09-13  BermudaTriangle: Rogl, in your line Black's B is on d7, not f5, so Nd6 doesn't work!
