Watch Black lose this position in just one move(!) by failing to consider the <MOBILITY> of *all* of his pieces.

41 ... ♔h8-g8?? <self-block: g8>

Why is 41 ... ♔h8-g8?? such a bad move? Because it <RESTRICTS THE MOBILITY> of the Black f7-queen too much!

After 41 ... ♔h8-g8??, the Black f7-queen has safe <FLIGHT SQUARES> only on f8 and f6, so Her Majesty has only <ONE DEGREE OF MOBILITY (ODOM)>, which means that after 41 ... ♔h8-g8?? she is nearly <TRAPPED>.

White then closes the door on Her Majesty's cage with 42 ♖e5-f5!, and the Black f7-queen has no where to go.

42 ♖e5-f5! <trapped piece: f7-queen>

I particularly like how the White f4-knight <DOMINATES> the Black f7-queen, <DENYING> Her Majesty the e6- and g6-squares.

A *fantastic* example showing that it can be fatal if you fail to think about the <MOBILITY(!), MOBILITY(!!), MOBILITY(!!!)> of all of your pieces for even a *single* move.
