Kibitzer's Corner
Dec-22-13  Karpova: A new Capablanca game!

This is from a Simul in Vienna during Capablanca's second European tour.

His opponent, Dr. Mandrila, played very strongly but agreed to a draw in a clearly better position as it was already late and the other 35 games had already ended.

The commentator presumes that Black rejected 13...f6 because of 14.e4 fxe5 15.dxe5 which seems clearly better for Black but the game becomes more complicated.

Nov-21-15  TheFocus: From a simultaneous exhibition in Vienna, Austria on October 19, 1911.

Capablanca scored +28=3-3.

Nov-21-15  SpiritedReposte: Dang is black not completely winning here? Would have tried to hand the legendary Capa a loss!
