Kibitzer's Corner
May-08-16  clement41: Impressive display by Kaplan in this Berlin that soon transposed into a Moscow variation of the Ruy Lopez exchange. It looked like despite all tactical trickeries that Kavalek was trying to throw at black's face, the latter's coordination was to hold everything at every time. I enjoyed the zwichenzug 24...Qc6!

  Honza Cervenka: 20.Bg5+? was a serious inaccuracy. Correct continuation gives white decisive advantage after 20.Qf4! Rb7 21.Ng5 Qf6 22.Qe3 Be6 23.Bd2 Rxd7 24.Bxb4 Bxb4 25.Nxe6+ Qxe6 26.Rxd7+ Qxd7 (26...Kxd7 27.Qa7+ +-) 27.Qb6+ Qc7 28.Qxb4 Re8 29.h4 Qc6 30.Rd1+ Kc8 31.Qg4+ Qe6 32.Qxg7 etc.
