Fusilli: This was a hard fought game. My opponent and I had been paired at the same tournament a few years earlier and he wanted revenge! (O Iwu vs M Sana, 2011). And he almost got it.

21...dxc5 was naive. I thought I was going to maneuver my knight all the way to d4. Ha, not even close.

Look how horrible my position looks after 31.Nd5:

(Stockfish only says +1.2 or 1.3, but I really felt worse than that.)

After 39...Bc6:

He erred with 40.Ne4. Instead, 40.Nxe6+ Nxe6 41.Bd5 and it's very hard to defend for black.

Still, I am apparently losing again after 57...Bxa4:

Consider 58.Bg6 Kg8 59.h7+ Kg7 60.Nf7 Kxg6 61.h8=Q Kxf7 62.Qd8:

Stockfish says white is winning, but can black hold the position? The white king has no entrance through the king side. Can black keep the knight defended with the bishop and hold it?

After 60...Nf6:

61.Bf7+ immediately gets black off the hook, but 61.Bf3 probably doesn't win either.

Phew.
