Sep-05-14  Karpova: 9.Kd2: <Diesen Zug hat ihm der Teufel eingegeben, sagt Herr Zuckerbäcker, ein alter Gladiator des Wiener Schach-Klubs und des Cercle Philidor in Paris.> (The devil prompted him this move says Mr Zuckerbäcker, an old gladiator of the Vienna Chess Club and the Cercle Philidor in Paris.). However, Black seems to have a clearly better position.

11...Qd7 was a slight inaccuracy and the annotator suggests <11...Qf6>.

13...Qg4 is probably what Black planned when playing 11...Qd7, but it is the decisive blunder. He overlooks the nice ♕ sacrifice and White announced mate in 4. The position after 12...h6 is certainly worth a look.
