Oct-27-14  fisayo123: Take Karjakin out of his comfort zone and he's just any other player. Brutal crush from Dima Andreikin.
Oct-27-14  JosepCmd: I think Sergey Karjakin is the most overrated player in the 90' generation. He showed that truth in last 2 matches. What a shameful loss!
Oct-27-14  activechess55: Was it possible for black to play 14.000
Oct-27-14  Pulo y Gata: <fisayo123: Take Karjakin out of his comfort zone and he's just any other player. Brutal crush from Dima Andreikin.>

My observation for some time, too. It takes a strong GM to demonstrate it though.

<JosepCmd: I think Sergey Karjakin is the most overrated player in the 90' generation.>

And Andreikin is extremely underrated. His weakness is his lack of <OPENING PREPARATION>. Witness his complete demolition right out of the opening by Gelfand in the 1st round at Baku.

But if Andreikin gets a playable position out of the opening, he can beat anyone.

Wow, this game is a massacre. Good job by Andreikin.

Look like Karjakin missed a <PIN AGAINST THE KING> which meant that the critical g7-sq is not <PROTECTED> by the Black e6-knight in the continuation 34 ... ♗g6x♖h7 35 ♕h1-h7+ ♔f7-f8 36 ♕h7-e7+ ♔f8-g8 37 ♕e7-g7#!.

Oct-27-14  Ulhumbrus: Alekhine has indicated that 3 Bg5 may allow Black to equalize with less trouble than in normal lines but it may also induce Black to overrate his side of the position and to underestimate the player with the white pieces
Oct-27-14  messachess: Yes, Andreikin is underrated. That must be clear to anyone now.
Oct-27-14  Calar: I don't understand Karjakin's plan here - first he plans on kingside play (10...Rg8), than he follows up of that (16...g5) and then moves away from the kingside (17...Rgd8) while White opens up h-file and infiltrates Black's position.

His moves just doesn't seem consistent.

HeMateMe: Kjarkan is not going to be a world champion.
Oct-27-14  Bruce Graham: A sharp game where the screws come on early and the vice just keeps tightening.
Oct-27-14  Eusebius: Grim words against Karjakin. Of course, he will not going to be a WC because there are Magnus, Fabiano, Levon, Naka...

Richard Taylor: At one stage Andreiken was putting himself into quite difficult or even bizarre positions but he seems to have overcome some of the worst sides of that and is doing well now with good chess. He was always ingenious even when he was losing or managing to draw!
Oct-27-14  SirRuthless: Karjakin 100 minutes into his game was still on move twelve. This is what being overly reliant on prepared lines can do. He could have cut bait and played normal moves but he kept wasting time trying to remember the correct line and paid the price.
Nov-02-14  Ulhumbrus: After 7 e4 we have a Sicilian defence type pawn formation.

10...Rg8 unpins the h pawn but it gives up the option of king side castling, and can Black afford to play this move in the Sicilian defence?
