fredthebear: You got that right mn2!

FTB couldn't make myself play 9.Bf1 if Kasparov told me so. Such an ugly retreat seemed to indicate that Igor might have fallen under her spell. Then C-A C played 11...h5? instead of castling short, and Igor got new life. (C-A C has the Black pieces on her biography page for those who want that "all in" game experience from White's POV.)

So this one felt like FTB was peering over the ledge on a windy day! Just couldn't imagine what would happen next. Black did have a rook on the second and a knight on the third, and the queen eyeing f2 so matters looked a bit shaky.

Mayet's Mate awaits in the dark corner.
