Oct-30-15  sneaky pete: If this game is genuine, it's probably from the simul at A.S.C. (Amsterdam), November 6. I have a vague remembrance of reading that Euwe once, in a gesture of mock humility, sided with the patzers to face one of his rival GM's in a simul and was wiped off the board, as he should. But if that story is true and this is the game, I'm really confused. In the final position black can play 30... Bd4 (or one or two other Bishop moves) and the position looks balanced.
Oct-30-15  thomastonk: <sneaky pete> Could this be Alekhine/Van den Bosch vs Euwe/Weenink, Amsterdam, January 21 1931? The information is from another database, where the game has one more move (30.. Bd4) and the result is 0-1!
Oct-30-15  thomastonk: Okay, this is Alekhine/Van den Bosch vs Euwe/Weenink, Amsterdam, March 21 1931. The game has one more move (30.. Bd4) and the result was a draw (instead of 1-0 here or 0-1 in the other db).
