  Penguincw: Ouch. A 14 move loss with white. The trouble likely began with 3.g3 (generally, king bishops aren't fianchettoed if they're going to be obstructed by their king pawn). Black was able to control the centre with 9...Ne4. 11.dxc5 I also don't like (11.Ne2 would reinforce d4), since it allows the bishop to hit f2 for a second time.

12.Be3 is probably the best move, but it's kinda lost already. 12.Rf1 runs into 12...Nxg3, while 12.Nxe4 runs into 12...fxe4. The move played was 12.Be3, but white finally realizes they're lost after 14.Bg5, since 14...Qd5 15.c4 Qf5 16.g4 Qg6, and the bishop or knight will fall.

Luckily, this game wasn't costly, as team black won 6-2.
