Kibitzer's Corner
Sep-20-15  Ulhumbrus: After 15 Kh1 we have a Maroczy bind against a Hedgehog formation, an opening formation which has been played for decades.

We may assume that both Topalov and Svidler know of all the resources to both play for and to avoid. Then what will the result be? Tigran Petrosian may have indicated an answer when he says <The methods of positional play grow finer each year. Knowing them it is possible even in a well known opening to make a real fight>

  HeMateMe: sharp, sharp, sharp
Sep-20-15  fisayo123: 57...f5 or even f6 and everything is okay. I know defending isn't exactly his strongest point, but pretty amazing Topalov misses such a simple move.
Sep-20-15  Marmot PFL: I have a similar position in an online game with black (though hopefully mine is better than this). Don't see a breakthrough for white but also it's hard for black to do anything, so I have sympathy for Topalov.

offramp: Despite the mistakes this was a great game.
Sep-21-15  EhsanBalani: Why not 9… N/B×e4?
Sep-21-15  belgradegambit: After 9...nxe4, 10.f3 nf6 11.nf5 presents difficulties.
Sep-21-15  ndg2: Why not 32..Ne4? Probly because of 33.Ng5 I guess
Sep-23-15  kamagong24: checkmate!!!
