  An Englishman: Good Evening: After a first run through the database, could not find 7...Bxc3!? anywhere (just ...Bc5 and ...Be7). Following up with 8...Ne4!? offering the g-pawn (not really; 9.Bxg7,Qa4+), and one wonders what might still lie undiscovered within the first ten moves of the game.

But was it sound? Honestly, I don't know. What sayeth the monsters of silicon?

Jan-20-16  Nerwal: In my opinion the choice of this line was a purely practical decision. Ju Wenjun plays much better in complex, tactical positions than technical endgames.
