Feb-12-16  beenthere240: Very slow but deliberate game. Black never developed any sort of counterplay and allowed her center to be locked up after which she passively endured a kingside pawn onslaught. 32...f6 provided an escape for the queen and blocked white's f-pawn, but it also created a great target for white's knight which immediately shot to d5, after which the game was essentially over.
Feb-12-16  patfoley: 36 Nxb6 Rxb6 37 Qxc5 dxc5 38RxRch etc. I 36...Nxe4 37 QxN RxN 38 c4 and White has broken through on the Qside.

ajk68: I had to look at this for a few minutes to see the conclusion if black takes the rook. The answer is quite simple: take back with the pawn. The pawn and knight on d5 eliminate any escape squares for the black king.
Feb-13-16  patfoley: The was a very nice game by Natalia. But 36 Nxb6 was preferable.

Miguel Medina: A classic game. An example of how to exploit a weak square. Also as perform the attack and at the same time delete the counterplay of the opponent.

  tpstar: Note 33 ... Qxh3?? 34. Rh2 Qg4 35. Rh4 traps the Queen.

<36. Nxb6> Nice shot!
