Domdaniel: Wild. Gelip's Queen sac on move 14 is radical, but not totally convincing. Salsac returns the queen but holds onto a material plus.

Domdaniel: The Queen sac has been played before, several times. On move 15, after 15.Nxe6, Black has played 15...Qe5 or 15...Bd6. The move played here, 15...Qe7, may be new (Fritz rates it as roughly equivalent to ...Qe5 -- not surprising as the lines tend to transpose and converge).

The game then follows theory to move 20. White's 20.Rf7? is a mistake: after ...Ne7 Black is slightly better. Instead, 20.Rf5 gives White a large plus.

Domdaniel: Black retains a clear edge until move 24, when White blunders with 24.Rh6?? losing at once to ...Be3+.

White, Ioana Gelip, had the higher rating by about 250 points.
