Aug-22-16  Benzol: <Richard> Another good game against a tough opponent. I gather Bob was a bit short of time and missed the coming Ng3+.

  Richard Taylor: That was the first time I met Bob. I had re-started Chess in 1978 and we played at the Centenary. When I proudly showed it to Sarapu, he watched and when he saw my K to e8 he said: "That was a waste of time." Which was all he said! No Bob had plenty of time. I couldn't understand why he didn't play the standard 0-0-0 as per usual. It was fatal to leave the K on e1 and uncharacteristic of Bob who is a strong player....but I was able to get my Qween sac in!

  Richard Taylor: That should be Re8 to avoid the Bh6 swap of my dark-squared bishop. Sarapu seemed to think it was not necessary...
