HeMateMe: black doesn't get enough for the exchange sac, poorly calculated.
Oct-12-16  Nerwal: 30... ♘d4 is rather strange; 30... f4 was logical and strong.

If Black doesn't sac the exchange, then White will play for a complete bind with d4, ♖a4, ♖ab4, ♘c2-e1-d3, ♗d6 and ♘e5. This will be no fun to defend.

HeMateMe: bind yes, but where can white break through?
Oct-12-16  Nerwal: Hard to say, since Black has several ways to defend (for instance she would have to choose between defending the b7 pawn with ♘d8 or ♖e7). The position is not closed on the kingside, so White will probably try something there. Still, even with no clear winning plan, in practice those positions with no counterplay for Black are highly unpleasant and the defender rarely draws since White can try different things and Black has to find the right defence each time.
