Feb-25-17  luzhin: Harika's 12.Qh4!! is devastating, as after 12...hxg5 13.Nxg5 Bxd4+ 14.Kh1 Kg7 15.Qh7+ Kf6 16.Nxf7 the attack is decisive. Tan had to play 11...Re8 and if then 12.Qh4 Black would have had reasonable chances to defend with 12...Be6!
Feb-25-17  CountryGirl: The game provides an argument for 5... b5, rather than Nd7. As it is, White combines Bc4 with an early f5 and that's pretty scary.
Feb-25-17  ChessHigherCat: Usually it's the Chinese dams that drown a valley, but here Dronavalli damns the Chinese (no racial slurs intended, it just seemed like a good opportunity for a spoonerism)
Feb-27-17  rogl: 17. Rf4 is of course good enough but a cuter finish would have been 17. Nce4! Black will have to part with her queen to avoid mate.
Feb-28-17  Dirkster: Technically, ChessHigherCat, what you posted is a very complex and clever pun. A spoonerism would be "chamns the Dinese" - which of course makes no sense. (Not that there's anything wrong with that!) But I do enjoy your wordplay!!
Feb-28-17  ChessHigherCat: <Dirkster: Technically, ChessHigherCat, what you posted is a very complex and clever pun. A spoonerism would be "chamns the Dinese" - which of course makes no sense.> You're right, like "The sea gull flits along the shore, while the baby..."

tamar: "Chams the Dinese" and await Morfishine verdict:)
Mar-01-17  ChessHigherCat: Not to mention the French version (contrepèterie): Le général est arrivé à pied par la Chine.
