  Honza Cervenka: Immediate 31.Nxh6+ was more precise, as in the game after better 33...Qxb3 34.Rh4 Re4 35.Qg5 Rxh4 36.Qxh4 Ne8 37.Nxf5+ Kg8 38.Ne7+ Kf7 39.Rd7 Qb1+ 40.Kg2 Nf6 41.Rxa7 Qe4+ 42.Qxe4 Nxe4 white is a Pawn up but the ending looks rather like draw with correct play of black than anything else. The sac of Knight leads to overwhelming attack, for example 31.Nxh6+ gxh6 32.Rg6+ Rg7 (32...Kf7 33.Qxf5+ Ke8 34.Qc8+ Kf7 35.Rf6+ Kxf6 36.Qxf8+ Ke6 37.Re4+ +-; 32...Kh7 33.Qh5 +-) 33.Rxh6 Nc7 34.Qh5 etc. Nice game by David.
Aug-15-17  ChessHigherCat: I guess black played 16...Ba8 because otherwise 17. Nf4 wins the d5 pawn
Aug-16-17  ajile: Yet another Black loss in the QID Check Variation Intermezzo Line without ..c6.

Live and learn.

Apr-24-18  Everett: <ajile> what is your suggested line? You think this is a tough line for Black?
