Honza Cervenka: Poor Ivan Morovic.... After Navara's risky play on material he got excellent game, and after some inaccuracies from David's part he had clearly won position. But in time pressure he missed a couple of immediate knockouts, and by his last move he blew the advantage completely (38...Rb8 was still winning quite easily). Navara's 39.Kh1!! was a shocking surprise for him, which he was unable to overcome in time losing thus the game by overstepping time control. The problem is that now black cannot take the Knight on d2 for 40.Rb1!! and there is no way to stop white Pb6: 39...Rxd2 40.Rb1 Rd3 41.b3 Re3 (or 41...Rd4 42.b4) 42.b7 Re8 43.Rc1 etc. Black's only move was 39...Re7 40.Rc1 h5 but here it is already black who fights for draw.
