An Englishman: Good Morning: A Colle?! At the Super-GM level?! This got interesting fast, esp. since Kramnik came to the game seemingly determined to sacrifice a pawn no matter what. In return, he owns the c-file, but not certain what he can do with it except perhaps use it to capture the a4 pawn.

Mateo: Very difficult position once again for Kramnik. Black is a pawn up. White played 41.Qe1 with the obvious threat Bxd5.

Gypsy: <41.Qe1...> Black has an extra pawn and a slightly but clearly better structure/piece-play. What an I missing?

Mateo: I was wondering what happens after 42.Bxd5 exd5 43.Qe5+. It seems that Black keeps the extra pawn after 43...Kh7 44.Qxd5 Nxd4!
Jan-22-19  BOSTER: This is nice.Kramnik overplayed.

Gypsy: <43. Qb4 Qa6 44. Ne7...> The <43...Qa6(?)> looks dubious. Black probably threw away his advantage.

Mateo: 44...Qa6 defending the a4 pawn allows 45.Ne7!, a very nice move destroying Black's pawn structure on the King side. Big turn of events.

An Englishman: Good Morning: Had foreseen 43...Qa6, but 44.Ne7 is a total surprise. 44...Rxc5; 45.Nxf5+ and White might have enough compensation in the form of all those weak pawns. Can Black (soundly) sacrifice the Exchange with 44...Rxe7; 45.Rxc8,Qe2; 46.R8c2,Qe3+?

Gypsy: Wondering what Ding overlooked. That Nxf5+ comes with check?
