Richard Taylor: <ferrabaz> this was a terrible tournament for me. In subsequent seniors and other tourneys I played a lot of winning games. In one I beat an ex NZ Champion and so on. Not all were good but here were some terrible blunders.

Chess games.com have left out some of those good games. My last tournament, my first OTB for some time was not so good. But I am sure with some luck and practice I can do well. After some losses I concentrated and played better chess both in 2017 and later.

My opponent here played a strange variant of the Scotch.

But yes, 11. e5 looks as though it is probably winning....

Richard Taylor: It seems that if 11. e5 Qh6 12. Qe2 Nd5 13. Nf5 leads to approx equality. Best there seems:

11. Nc2...

Earlier 9. Nxc6 Qxc6 10. Qd4 Qxd4 11. cxd4 White is equal, a little better.

Anything than blundering a pawn then a piece!
