Breunor: According to the computer, losing move is 27 Rxa7. White had a hard time developing his queenside but had a reasonable game finally.

Computer recommends f3:
1) -0.64 (21 ply) 27.f3 R2b7 28.Rdc7 f5 29.Bc3 Rxc7 30.Rxc7 Rb1+ 31.Kh2 Bxc3 32.Rxc3 Bb7 33.Nd4 Kf7 34.Rc2 Rb6 35.Rc5 Rb2 36.Ra5 a6 37.Kg3 Kf6

After Rxa7, we have:

1) -2.59 (27 ply) 27...Be4 28.Rac7 Rd8 29.Ba5 Bxc2 30.Rxc2 Rb1+ 31.Kh2 Be5+ 32.f4 Bxc7 33.Rxc7 Ra8 34.Bc3 Rc1 35.Rc5 f6 36.Bb4 Rxc5 37.Bxc5 Kf7 38.Kg3 Rc8 39.Bb4 Ke6 40.Kf3 Rc4 41.Ba5 Rc2 42.Bb4 Rc1 43.g4 Rh1 44.Kg2 Rb1 45.f5+ gxf5 46.gxf5+ Kf7

The key here appears to be f3 prevents Be4, which is a killer- it attacks the Knight on c2 and if white tries Kf1, black can play Bd3 ch abnd win a piece.
