Mar-25-19 | | ChessHigherCat: Hate to change the subject, but white's plan must be Nh4-Nf5 followed by f4, right? Am I right in believing that this is a particularly unpromising game? |

 | | offramp: There appears to be a moderator on board. |
|
Mar-25-19 | | ChessHigherCat: Wow, castling long can't be any good, with the open file and no LSB bishop to protect the holes after b6. |
|
Mar-25-19 | | ChessHigherCat: <offramp: There appears to be a moderator on board.> Wow, one of them thar moderators will disappear you faster than Alien 94! |

Mar-25-19 | | ajile: <Sally Simpson:>
Alien Resurrection is also very good. Sometimes the plot is a bit thin but there are some amazing scenes. |

Nor even what that question was.>
I used to know but I've already repressed it. We'll have to reconstruct it from the digital traces of the myriad complaints by outraged banshees. Don't you think it was dumb to castle queenside in this position? |

 | | AylerKupp: <<wtpy> I levitated out of my seat when the creature jumped out of John Hurt's chest.> I read that they didn't tell the actors what was about to happen on that scene because they wanted to capture their surprise when the creature jumped out of John Hurt's chest. So presumably what you saw on the screen was the first take of that scene. |

 | | An Englishman: Good Afternoon: Happy Monday, everyone! This position looks risky for So--he will have lots of trouble in the endgame if enough pieces come off. However, Black has to survive the reason White accepted the risk, namely the Queen side attack. White has potential sacrifices with Nxa5 and c4-c5. E.g., 24...Ka8?; 25.c5,Nxc5; 26.Nxc5 and 27.Qa6+. |

 | | Sally Simpson: Hi AylerKupp,
Apparently that is true.
Alien came out at the right time. Star Wars with a talking dog, a poofy robot, a princess and 'the force' was/is pathetic. In Alien the ship is manky, two of the crew start talking about overtime overtime the minute they are awake from hyper-sleep. That would happen. And today's theme is to make creatures from space friendly and here to help us. They chances are intelligent life will have come from predators (like us) and want to kill us, subject to slavery or convert us to their religion....er...like us. The game: Wes will take on a6 after c6+. |

Mar-25-19 | | BOSTER: Black is too greedy to play Kxc6. |

 | | Sally Simpson: ***
I think Black had to take on c6. Black can/has to sac back the exchange. *** |

Mar-25-19 | | Gypsy: <29. Rc1 Rd8 > I don't see much (if any) compensation for the material White is down. |
|
Mar-25-19 | | Gypsy: For So, tough game to save. |

Mar-25-19
 | | Sally Simpson: 30.Kg2..
Thought 32.Qb7 but can see why Kg2. Black can ignore the hit on c7 with Ke8 and Black has annoying Rd1+. Complicated. Are the clocks here showing the right time. |
|
Mar-25-19 | | BOSTER: After Rc3 black has the winning game. |
|
Mar-25-19
 | | Sally Simpson: And Whoosh!
the exchange is given back, Queens off....Bette Davis beckons. Thanks C.G. |
|
Mar-25-19 | | Gypsy: <BOSTER: After Rc3 black has the winning game.> It looks that way |
|
Mar-25-19 | | Gypsy: Black is choosing to leave the rooks on the board. May be even better than trading |
|
Mar-25-19 | | Gypsy: And Black chicken-ed into the draw. |
|
Mar-25-19
 | | An Englishman: Good Afternoon: Whilst I appreciate White playing the c5 pawn sacrifice, must confess to a little surprise that his attack petered out into a draw so readily. Oh, well--good defense by Black. |

 | | Annie K.: If the clocks on various sites are to be believed, Dominguez was very low on time. |
