Kibitzer's Corner
Feb-13-21  Agferna: 19 Qg7+ followed by Bishop retreat leading to mate with either Knight or Bishop would have been spectacular!
Feb-14-21  carpovius: 19. Qg7+ very good move
Feb-14-21  Agferna: Of course white had an overwhelming attack in which the outcome was certain with simpler moves. However if black had more counter play I’m sure Sznapik would have searched harder and seen the mate in 3!!!

Surely this game is a better top 10 game than his top 10 game 5!!!

Purpose Chessgames make the switch!

Oct-29-22  ndg2: Strange, the missed mate turns what could have been an excellent game into something merely good. It's still a good game, though.
Oct-30-22  Gregor Samsa Mendel: I recall another Sznapik-Bhend game from around this time (in an Olympiad, I think) that white also won brilliantly, involving a knight sacrifice on f7, but it's not in the database. It made a deep impression on my young preteen mind.
