An Englishman: Good Evening: The Center Game?! At this level of play?! And winning with it?? I give up. I surrender. Nothing's blasphemy anymore.

Black had to play 15...Nxc3, didn't he?

Dec-20-19  utssb: So I guess 5...d5 6. Nd5 Nd5 7. ed5 Nb4 8. Qe4+ Qe7 9. Bd3 Nd3+ 10. cd3 Bf5 is the line to know as Black. 9...d5 could equalize maybe but it's more complicated after 10. a3.

<An Englishman> <15...Nxc3> Yeah exactly and then after 16. Kc3 there's the nice ...Bg4 with the threat of ...Qe5+ which I guess Karjakin missed. Black is still much better after the exchange on f6. After 19. Be2 ...Qe4 and ...Bc4 give Black a way better game. 19...b5 was pretty bad; it accomplishes nothing plus it allows the Qg3-e5-b5 idea.
