"Konz" is given by <iChessbase>, but "Verbuedete" is given by the <Baltische Schachblatter no.8, p.592>.

'Konz' (?) ~ 'Verbü̲n̲dete' (Deutsch)

see Allies

Example

http://www.ichessbase.com/icbgame.a...

is

'Siegmund Barász und Verbündete'
'Stefan Abonyi und Verbündete'

from Wiener Schachzeitung, 1915, No 5/8, p.57

Thank you <login> that is helpful and also interesting.

So in this case it would be <Amelung> vs <Konz and Allies> right?

Or <Konz> might mean "allies" in another language. I was just putting it through the google translator with various language choices. Didn't find anything helpful. Maybe "Konz" is a person.

But either way I don't see any need for us to do anything here.

<Amelung> vs <Konz>

<Amelung> vs <Allies>

(some sort of consultation event?)

'Konz' is just a placeholder (I tried different languages for allies to no success). In my opionion there isn't an actual player named Konz and it's speculative how 'Verbündete' turned into this database string. Have not seen it in written other than here and ichessbase (were pretty much all 'Konz' games can be replaced with Allies/Verbündete or Player+Allies/Verbündete).

In German (no Konz- component)

Oh, well I was too slow xD

Same idea, and no nothing to to other than replace 'Konz' and put this one registered game into the existing 'Allie' collection. Or wait for some more info to resurface on what the exact circumstances 'Pernau Chess Club (1898), Pernau (Parnu) RUE, Feb-??' were.
