Kibitzer's Corner
Nov-04-20  Nosnibor: The shortest game in the whole event and a terrible blunder by Wolff. This was also the only game won by Getz.

fredthebear: In the exchange sequence, White gives up queen and pawn (10 points) for knight, pawn, and plans to re-capture the rook (9 points), which is doable. White missed the protection of the Nf3 being outnumbered after 12...Qxb7. Thus, 13.RxRd1 BxNf3 will leave Black ahead on material.

If White should try the desperate intermezzo 13.Ne5/Nh4, it's met by the intermezzo 13...RxRf1+ 14.RxRf1 Qxb2 etc., which turns out even worse for White.

13.Ne1 is met simply by Qxb2, a fork of loose pieces.

Nov-05-20  Granny O Doul: I guess White planned the (unsound) Q sac when he played d5, as he doesn't have a lot of promising options after ...e6.
