<"Happiness is a cigar called Hamlet>

Mr Senor Antonio Garcia Castella had the TEMERITY to play the Alekhine's Defence. What a GIT.
Later Black had a grip on the d-file.

White had a trick called <interference>, i.e. Nd4 winning the exchange.
But before Alekhine played his trick, Black had a good idea... he played
29...Nxf4+. Olé! You only live once etc etc etc.

The white king's knight went to f5.
Or was it the queen's knight, I lost track.
Anyway at f5 the ♘ was a killer from move 17 onwards.

BTW it wasn't REALLY an Alekhine's.

The white knight was going to administer some kind of anastasia mate.

45. Nh6+?
The best move is 45. Ne7+!
White has only one ♙ left, with the possibility of the DREADED ♖+♘ v ♖.

After 45. Nh6+, black has one sensible move: 45...Kh7.

Poor old Alekhine now realises that the position is drawn. Black is going to take either the last white pawn, or the knight. 46. Kg5.
Black shoulda now played 46...Rg3+. SOMETIMES patzer giving checks is a GOOD IDEA.
Time to light up a Castella.
