Selected in the latest CHESS (February 2021) as one of Barry Hymer's favourite games, He likes this game because it proves the Hippo bites back and a 'superb genuine sacrifice on move 22.'

The other is: Hebden vs C Daly, 2007

fredthebear: 27...Rxg3! robs the pinned h-pawn and forever exposes the White king. If 28.QxRh3? f2+. The discovered check will gain back material one way or another, so White declines recapture of the rook and keeps the f-pawn blocked.

The same f2+ discovered check would also come into play after 29.QxQh4 f2+ 30.Nd5 RxQh4, etc.

The Black rook(s) continue to terrorize in this king hunt, causing capitulation.
