0ZeR0: An impressive game featuring no less than five queens.

fredthebear: Indeed! This was quite a shoot out!
Feb-10-21  MordimerChess: After winning in 11th round Dubov was on fire and on the way to quarterfinals...

From the other hand, Duda lost to outsider Dominguez and he said in the interview that he had no practical chances to advance to next phase, so he just played Bd3 which isn't part of his opening repertoire but can give some crazy positions... and that happened due to double piece sacrifice and insane balance on the board: 3 minor pieces against rook and 4 pawns.

An Englishman: Good Evening: Watched this on Twitch as it happened. Insane then, insane now, insane forever. Best part--how Duda refused for the longest time to add the second Queen to the board.

Breunor: Whoa a great game all around. Dude?s sacrifice led to a wonderful tense game!
Jun-25-21  Cheapo by the Dozen: Wonderful choice for GotD!

If there was wordplay in the "pun", I missed it, but that's fine when the game is this much fun.

HeMateMe: Wild game! In a birther ending it's good to be the guy who queens first.
Jun-25-21  Brenin: Great game! Thanks, CG and <SRBB76>.

piltdown man: Wonderful game! These guys sure can play!
Jun-25-21  Ironmanth: It's clashes like this one that keep me, and probably ALL of us, coming back again and always to our beloved game! Fantastic skirmish here. Y'all have a super weekend, stay safe, and play tons of great chess.
Jun-25-21  mrknightly: is this the real game, is this just fantasy?

paulalbert: Great game! Reminds me of some of the "games" Alekhine supposedly invented in his annotations.

stoy: Dear paulalbert: look up the eleventh match game between Alekhine & Capablanca. There you will see four queens and the WC Capablanca resigning one move before mate! A great game!
Jun-25-21  Honey Blend: This was quite an exciting game, too bad Dubov missed 48. ... ♕c2+ which should have been sufficient to draw by perpetual.
