Kibitzer's Corner
Jun-05-24  Allderdice83: Pushing the h pawn after castling kingside seems like a bad idea, though Stockfish doesn't seem to mind, at least not 16 Lite, depth = 20. However, 20. Bxf6 is bad, and Black should keep the two bishops with 20 ... Nxf6. White starts to go wrong with 24. Qd4; better is 24. Qg5 or 24. Qe3, getting the queen off the file with the Black rook. 25. Qxb6? seems to jumpstart Black's attack, but again, Stockfish doesn't think it's that bad. The players trade errors until finally White blunders with 37. b5? and 39. Kg1? (39. Rxf2 was best but still losing). The finish is nice -- a deflection (if 43. Qxc7? then 43 ... Qh2+ 44. Kf1 Qh1#) followed by a defender removal.
