offramp: Naka is very good at rapid, and I hope this will be a great struggle.
Dec-28-21  whiteshark: <9...Qb6 >and Leko is quite shocked as commentator and Hikaru first dives deep into the think tank (3min 30 sec)
Dec-28-21  whiteshark: On the other hand Carlsen spent over 4 minutes for 14...Rad8

offramp: ...At the end a draw.
Dec-28-21  whiteshark: Leko said that <59...Re2> was better. Magnus with 3 minutes on the clock continued to play very quickly and might missed the <60.Rf3> defence by Nakamura.

evilthought: Naka played 59 Rf4 which loses after Re2 by black (which Carlsen missed) but is there any defense for white on move 59? If white keeps the rook on the a file, black will eventually bring the king over to a2 after he plays Ra1. White wins f and h pawns but loses the rook to a pawn and I don't think white can save the game with the remaining 2 pawns vs rook in that position. I could be wrong but I couldn't find a draw with stockfish.
