In this position Yu played...

< 12.Qb3 > with a slight plus for white.

Stockfish quickly passed all the known moves in the cg database above in the first second [ 00.00 - 00.01 ], and stayed with 12.Qb3 for 4 hours up to 53/70. Then after 15 hours it flipped back to Qc2 for two more ply [see below]. I suspect it will toggle back and forth with Qb3 & Qc2 for a bit, but Qb3 is a solid alternative.

In the past when a top level player introduced a new move, we'd call it a "novelty". In this case it's clearly an engine move, and not really something Yu cooked up on his own at home. Nevertheless, he prepared well to answer black diversions from the engine line, and 12.Qb3 may become the latest fashion in this opening. We'll have to wait and see who takes interest in it.
